Got any plans for Labor Day weekend? You might want to trek into Dallas, Texas, and see the great guest panel at AnimeFest which includes Arina Tanemura. **\(^0^)/**
It’s not often we get shoujo manga artists from Japan to visit the states, and this time Tanemura-sama will be the attending guest. Just in case you’ve been in some hidey-hole and don’t know, she’s one of the most published shoujo mangaka in North America. Her works include I.O.N., Kamikaze Kaito Jeanne, Short Tempered Melancholic, Time Stranger Kyoko, Full Moon o Sagashite, The Gentlemen’s Alliance Cross, Mistress Fortune, Sakura Hime Kaiden, Fudanjuku Monogatari, and most recently her autobiography Arina no Tane. All of which have been published in English with the exception of the most recent latter two.
Sadly, AnimeFest still doesn’t have schedules posted or a list of panels, so there’s not much more I can tell you about where to meet Tanemura. If you would like more information you can email the organizers of the event. Click here for further information on Animefest 2012.
