Honest, intelligent news and reviews for manga romantics
According to the recent issue of Hana to Yume releasing today, Kamisama Kiss has been green lit to become an anime!
Yes, I will squeal along with you, as I think Julietta Suzuki’s work was destined to become animated. I remember stating in my review that I could already hear Vic Mignogia in my mind when I read Tomoe’s lines. Not that I think this will ever get a dub, mind you. I’m sure like most shoujo titles, if we get a release in the US it will be sub only.
So far the only news on the project is the director and character designer. Akitaro Daichi (Fruits Basket, Kodocha, Now and Then, Here and There) is directing and Junko Yamanaka (Detective Conan, Kenichi the Mightiest Disciple) is designing the characters.
I’ll try to stay updated on the timeline for the project, so that I can let you know when it starts airing. ***\(^o^)/***
If you haven’t picked up this charming series yet, then now is the chance familiarize yourself with Suzuki’s memorable cast.

YAYAYAY!!! a lot of awesome manga, anime adaptions are being green lit this YEAR. HAPPINESS:)))Suki-tte Ii na yo, Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun, and NOW Kamisama Kiss added to the list~super excited!!!
This is good news!
wait to see the anime!
the manga is already great!
Well, I was wrong. It did get dubbed. I’m currently watching it on Funimation channel. Not a bad dub either. J.Michael Tatum works for Tomoe. But every time I watch it I hear Happy from Fairy Tail instead of Nanami. (⌒▽⌒ゞ
