Memorable Manga Moments: Dengeki Daisy vol. 1

I really love this series. I like the characters in this series so well, that when it comes to memorable moments, many spring to mind. The first one that I’ll post about is from the first volume.

The first volume really hooked me, especially the ending scene. Teru has been at school, and while she is gone, her apartment is broken into. She texts Daisy to let him know, and Kurosaki is wracking his brain, trying to come up with an excuse to go meet up with her without revealing his DAISY identity. A geezer who apparently worked with her brother tries to get Teru to come with him, in hopes of getting information out of her. He points out that Daisy didn’t show up to rescue her this time. Terrified, Teru takes off running. Without intending to, she ends up at the ramen shop where Kurosaki hangs out.

I love this moment because it shows how Teru has already developed feelings for Kurosaki even though she hasn’t confirmed his connection to DAISY. Kurosaki should realize that as well. Whatever Kurosaki has done in the past though, he won’t let himself find pleasure in that.

I really can’t get enough of these two characters. The tension and unfulfilled desire is heart pounding. More please, Motomi-sensei!
