Amazon is getting into the anime streaming competition. The company debuted its new service for Amazon prime members called Anime Strike.

Crunchyroll continues to add anime to its winter lineup including Super Lovers season 2 and MARGINAL #4.

Seven Seas is releasing manga that are adaptations of western classic literature including Anne of Green Gables and A Little Princess.

Kamome Hamada’s manga, Tatoeba Konna Koi no Hanashi (For Example, a Story of This Kind of Love) is based on the real-life experience of a man name Kento Yanagi. The manga, according to Anime News Network, “is set in the Higashi-Rinkan district of Kanagawa Prefecture, which is part of the Greater Tokyo Area. Akira and Masaru show that ‘genuine love is painfully sweet.’ Akira has never had a real romantic relationship, and he has told himself since high school that he must not fall in love with straight guys. One day, someone comments on his cooking blog, “Is your skill at cooking despite being a man because you’re a homo?” Real love between a heterosexual man and a gay man unfolds after their rocky first communication. The true story reveals the couple’s tribulations and transformations of heart.” The manga runs in Libre Publishing’s BexBoy magazine.

Abi Umeda’s shoujo manga Kujira no Kora wa Sajou ni Utau (Whale Calves Sing on the Debris) will be getting an anime release. According to Crunchyroll (via Baka Updates), “Chakuro is the 14-year-old archivist of the Mud Whale, a nigh-utopian island that floats across the surface of an endless sea of sand. Nine in ten of the inhabitants of the Mud Whale have been blessed and cursed with the ability to use saimia, special powers that doom them to an early death. Chakuro and his friends have stumbled across other islands, but they have never met, seen, or even heard of a human who wasn’t from their own. One day, Chakuro visits an island as large as the Mud Whale and meets a girl who will change his destiny.”

A title sequence for Yayoi Ogawa’s Kimi wa Pet live-action TV series has been released.

The Saiyuki Reload Blast anime has new information including its first promo video reveal. The anime is based on Kazuya Minekura’s manga which runs in Ichijinsha’s Comic Zero Sum magazine.
