Viz Media’s Sublime announced they are taking over the Finder series license. The series was originally published by Digital Manga Publishing, but Libre, Inc., the Japanese company that gave them the license to publish the series, discontinued the publishing agreement. They will print digital and print versions of the manga, starting with volume 8 since that is the latest volume to be released in Japan. Volume 8 releases March 2017, and then Viz will release the prior volumes beginning in May 2017. In Sublime’s statement, they acknowledged that they may not be able to rescue all titles but they want to know what readers are interested in.
Utada Hikaru is returning with her sixth album after eight years since her last one. There’s not much known about it other than it will drop on Sept. 28.
Sanrio is releasing a new romance game for iOS and Android called Sanrio Danshi ~Watashi, Koi o, Shirimashita~. The game features five boyfriends that all like Sanrio characters, and stars the same characters as an ongoing manga in Sho-Comi magazine drawn by Mai Andou. It will be released in the fall.
Preorders are now available at Right Stuf for Viz Media’s Sailor Moon S anime set that will release Nov. 15 for $62.99.
Aksys announced some really good releases for 2017, but they’ve also expressed interest in trying to bring Hakuoki: Sweet School Life to the west.
An ad for STARMYU’s OVAs has been released and includes musical parts and a special video. The OVAs will be released on July 27 and September 21 and will represent the 13th and 14th episodes of the first season of the anime. The show is receiving a second season.
