Utada Hikaru, a popular Japanese singer who was on hiatus for six years, returns with her first stop-motion animation music video. The track is called “Hanataba o Kimi ni” (Bouquet for You).
Winners for the 40th Kodansha Manga Awards have been announced and include Kiss Him, Not Me by Junko. The series, which runs in Kodansha’s Bessatsu Friend magazine was awarded in the shoujo manga category.
The manga Koe Koi (Voice Love) by Doruru will get a screen adaptation, although what kind has not been announced. The manga’s first volume will ship June 11. The manga, according to Anime News Network, “follows the relationship that is ”a little different“ between high school students Yuiko and Matsubara, a boy who is also ”a little different.“ Matsubara is a kind boy with a wonderful voice. After hearing him over the phone, Yuiko finally meets Matsubara at school and discovers that he always wears a paper bag over his head. Yuiko wonders about the mysterious boy, and their relationship begins.” The manga runs in the free manga app, Comico.
