Amazon Japan will stream the manga-turned-drama adaptation of Happy Marriage in and outside of Japan. There will be a total of 12 shows available for the site’s Amazon Prime service. This means you need to purchase a Prime membership on Amazon Japan’s website in order to see these shows.
The shoujo manga Haikara-san ga Tooru by Waki Yamato will be adapted into an anime, which will be released in 2017. According to Anime News Network, “The story follows Benio ”Haikara-san“ Hanamura, who lost her mother when she was very young and has been raised by her father, a high-ranking official in the Japanese army. As a result, she has grown into a tomboy – contrary to traditional Japanese notions of femininity, she studies kendo, drinks sake, dresses in often outlandish-looking Western fashions instead of the traditional kimono, and is not as interested in housework as she is in literature. She also rejects the idea of arranged marriages and believes in a woman’s right to a career and to marry for love.”
IDOLiSH7’s one year anniversary is coming up. With it, IDOLiSH7 will release its first full album, August 24. There will be three editions, all which include 12 songs. There will also be IDOLiSH7-themed cafes in Japan.

The new anime featuring MAGES, a 2D male idol group, will premiere July 2 in Japan. According to Anime News Network, “The anime’s story follows Tsubasa (voiced by Hisako Kanemoto), a new hire in the A&R department of the major recording company Gandala Music. Tsubasa is immediately assigned to oversee the idol unit ”B-PROJECT,“ which is made up of three idol groups: Kitakore, THRIVE, and MooNs. This is Tsubasa’s first job, and she gets involved in various incidents and accidents as she deals with this group of young men who each have their own differing personalities.”
First Love Monster will premiere July 2 in Japan.
Sekai Project announced they will release Creature Romances: ~for the Ladies~ visual novel with more details to come.
STARMYU is back for a second season that will premiere in spring of 2017.
Hidamari go Kikoeru, a BL manga by Yuki Fumino, will get a live-action film adapation. According to Anime News Network, “The original manga’s story centers on a deaf college student named Kōhei who has gotten used to being misunderstood. Taichi, a classmate with a cheerful personality, runs into Kōhei while job hunting. Taichi’s ignorance of Kōhei’s condition starts their relationship off with its own misunderstanding. However, Taichi soon learns about Kōhei’s deafness, and the students start to become more than friends.”
The English dub cast for Hakuoki: Demon of the Floating Blossom: Wild Dance of Kyoto has been announced.
Premium Bandai is releasing Sailor Moon-themed socks. There are five types featureing the main Sailor Scouts. The merchandise will be released in September 2016 and will cost 6,246 per pair.
The fifth drama CD for Hakuoki: Shinkai Kaze no Shou PS Vita game has been released. It includes 12 tracks featuring side stories.
You can now watch the trailer for Oboreru Knife, the live-action film based on the shoujo manga by George Asakura. According to Anime News Network, “Oboreru Knife is a turbulent teenage romance that tells the story of Natsume Mochizuki, an adolescent girl who worked as a fashion model in Tokyo until her family moves to a sleepy town in rural Japan. There she falls in love with Kouichiro Hasegawa, a member of a prominent family of Shinto priests, but circumstances threaten to tear the couple apart.”
