Mari Okada and Nao Emoto are launching a new manga in Kodansha’s Bessatsu Shonen magazine called Araburu Kisetsu no Otome-domo yo (Maidens of the Savage Season). According to Anime News Network: “The manga’s tagline is ‘Youth is not only beautiful.’ The story centers on the members of a school literary club. Another tagline reads, ‘I pushed through those bushes… The sweet that sap flows from the girl (the following omitted).’”

The manga Orange has been nominated for Goodreads Choice Awards. It is one of 20 semifinalists in the Best Graphic Novels and Comics category.

Voice Recipe Campaign

If you are into ramen and cute 2D characters, Maruchan is doing another Voice Recipe campaign featuring all new recipes. The characters are from the idol group Donpuri4 and there is a girls unit called Okamochi Sisters. They will teach you how to make unique ramen dishes.

Bathing Boyfriend

You remember the Bathing Boyfriend products meant to help you destress? They are making a manga about it. The story focuses on eight males helping people to destress in the bath house.

There will be a live-action film adaptation of Boys Love manga Double Mints boys love by Asumiko Nakamura (creator of Dokyusei). The film will be released next year. According to ANN, “The manga’s story begins when Mitsuo Ichikawa hears the domineering voice of someone on the phone saying, ”I killed a woman.“ The man was his classmate in high school who had the same name as him. The voice brings back old, forgotten memories of the man, which revive old passions. Both Mitsuos reunite as accomplices, and their relationship, which had always been one between master and servant, begins to change into something new.”

The Betrayal Knows My Name

Funimation has added more anime to its catalog including The Betrayal Knows My Name. The series will be released on DVD with Japanese audio and English subtitles at the end of February.

Marginal#4

The male 2D group Marginal#4 has unvealed its first promo video and character designs for the anime, which will premiere in January.

STARMYU’s second season will premiere in Spring 2017. The anime is also getting a stage musical adapation which will also release in the Spring.

Ikemen Sengoku

The romance game Ikemen Sengoku is getting a manga and anime adaptation. The anime will release sometime in 2017.

Itazura na Kiss 23, manga

Itazura na Kiss is getting a third live-action film called Itazura na Kiss the Movie 3 ~Propose-hen! and will premiere in spring 2017.

Gackt

The popular Japanese singer, Gackt, has released a very short preview for his music video Kimi Dake no Boku de Iru Kara which features the singer as an anime character.

Kiss Him, Not Me

Funimation has released the English dub cast for Kiss Him, Not Me.

Neko Atsume no Ie

Neko Atsume: Kitty Collector, a smartphone game by Hit-Point is getting a live-action film adaptation to be released in 2017. The name of the film is Neko Atsume no Ie (Cat Collection House).
