Ai Ore! Live Action Movie Premiered in Japan August 25

Mayu Shinjo’s latest manga, Ai Ore! was produced as a live action movie that premiered in Japanese theaters this past Saturday, August 25th. Korean male idol Karam from band DGNA stars as Akira while actress Ito Ōno plays Mizuki. DGNA’s song “Ikenai 1-2-3” is the opening theme, and the Korean group’s first song for a Japanese film.

The Japanese film covers Shinjo’s first arc of the series known as Ai o Utau yori Ore ni Oborero! in Japan. Here in the states Viz  has printed this arc as volumes 1-3 of Ai Ore! Select movie goers in Japan will also receive a limited edition bonus comic made by Shinjo solely for the movie promotion.

No telling if we’ll see this in the states, but it’s good to keep an eye out for known productions.
