Memorable Manga Moments: Shugo Chara! – Special Naughty Edition

Shugo Chara! is aimed a younger audience and has great messages that can be very inspiring. I also learned that the mangakas known as Peach-Pit have very dirty minds. While the scenes in the story could be read very innocently by naive minds, it was obvious to me that there were some sexual innuendos thrown in by the authors of the story to add some spice to this magical girl manga.



This post can be credited to the anime translation of Shugo Chara! that I recently watched on Crunchyroll. It was inspired by this scene in particular where Ikuto comes after Amu to make sure none of her Guardian Character eggs are the “embryo”.  Amu charges at him and they both fall on the floor.

I just couldn’t help but laugh if taking this scene out of context. With the positioning of the characters, it looks like Ikuto is about to ravish Amu for some of her feminine eggs due to his hormones. I could draw a whole doujin chapter on this one scene. There are most likely already some in Japan.



So after this scene not only do I come to think of Ikuto as the ravishing type, but the girls continue to draw pervy images of Amu and Ikuto. Here Amu is in a towel and Ikuto chomps her ear.




Then comes a hilarious scene that occurs in the manga employing innuendos again. For instance, let’s think about the Humpty Lock and the Dumpty Key.  Who has which piece?  Hmmm….Amu has the lock opening <> and Ikuto has the key. 8==> (>◡<) Really, Peach-Pit! Naughty, naughty! That’s why I find this scene in particular especially funny.

Ikuto is reaching for Amu’s chest to look at the lock and Amu assumes he’s going for her feminine parts. Then she gets all worked up and starts noticing his scent. He holds the lock and tries to see if his key will fit. ^-^ (Amu, he’s going to stick his key in your lock!) But when he tries, the hole is blocked! >< (Ikuto, she’s never opened the lock before!)  Oh Peach-Pit, you had me ROFL with this one. Nice little innuendo there.



To top off this perception of Ikuto as the “hungry wolf” type, there is a later scene in which Ikuto declares he’s going to eat Amu to Tadese. He says this while they are both licking an ice cream cone and she’s sitting in his lap.  Of course, Tadase freaks out.

I know Ikuto is trying to mess with Tadase in this scene, but I think he’s having way too much fun in the process. And there’s Amu, just going along with it all. Then there’s the fact the the vanilla cone that they are both licking is suppose to be Tadase’s ice cream. Not going to read into that one, nope. No sense in discussing indirect kisses here, either. I’m surprised that there wasn’t a tongue collision!



Speaking of tongue collisions, there is one scene in Shugo Chara! that looks romantic but ends up giving everyone observing the “ewww”s. Here’s what I like to call Ikuto’s French Kiss of Incest.

At least in this scene it’s not Ikuto being the aggressive one, but it obviously runs in the family. His sister Utau attacks him with a welcome of sucking face. Although he gets irritated, she doesn’t seem to mind in the least.  She doesn’t want her incestual dreams to end because Amu has shown up to steal away Ikuto’s tongue. Funny thing is, throughout the whole manga, Ikuto never kisses Amu on the mouth.



One last addition to this Shugo Chara! Love Fest is more humorous than naughty.  In this scene, Nagahiko tries to convince Tadase and Kiku to try on the girls’ uniform to see how freeing a skirt can be.  In the middle of the chaos, Amu walks in to find Tadase in a skirt, and Nagahiko pulling off Kiku’s pants.

Peach-Pit already has a cross dressing character in Shugo Chara, so I can only imagine they got a lot of requests from fans to see Tadase in a girl’s uniform. It does fit his gentle personality, and he looks quite feminine in it. I hope fans enjoyed it because I’m sure it made Amu question Tadase’s masculinity. Good thing she has Ikuto as a backup.



So that I can show I’m not the only one interpreting the series this way, I found some demotivational posters from the net that hit on these same ideas. One even had the exact same image that started me down this gutter.






That’s all for the Shugo Chara! Special Naughty Edition. I felt that someone might be missing out on the wonderful, perverted minds of Peach-Pit and just couldn’t keep these tid-bits under wraps. If you haven’t read Shugo-Chara! because of how girly it is, then pick it up for no other reason than to laugh at the obvious sexual innuendos of this popular duo.
