Gengoroh Tagame’s My Brother’s Husband manga will be published in English.  The first volume will be released in June 2017. The story: “My Brother’s Husband is a family drama that begins with the auspicious arrival of Mike, a Canadian who has come to pay respects to the family of his recently deceased Japanese husband Ryoji, whose only remaining immediate family member is Yaichi—an identical twin brother. As Mike gets accustomed to Japanese morays and the surprising idiosyncrasies of living with Yaichi and his daughter Kana, the sleepy Japanese suburb also learns the true meaning of family.”

Hirunaka no Ryuusei (Daytime Shooting Star), a shoujo manga by Mika Yamamori, is getting a live-action film debuting March 2017. According to Anime News Network, the short is about “Suzume Yosano, a high school girl who moves from the countryside to Tokyo. On her first day in Tokyo, she gets lost, and a man helps her. That man turns out to be her new homeroom teacher named Satsuki Shishio. Suzume gradually comes to like Satsuki. Sitting next to Suzume in her class is Daiki Mamura, who hates women. Daiki and Suzume soon become friends.”

Another manga getting a live-action film in 2017, is Ani ni Aisaresugite Komattemasu by Rina Yagami. According to ANN, “The story centers on two siblings: Setoka is an unpopular but romantic high school student, and her brother Haruka is a delinquent youth, but cares for his younger sister more than anything else. The two are not related by blood, but only Haruka knows about this. The abrasive Takane Serigawa, Setoka’s first love, returns after many years, and begins to get closer to Setoka again. After that, Setoka is the target of many older men’s affections, and it seems like the first popular phase in Setoka’s life has begun.”

I’ve Always Liked You

Aniplex of America is streaming I’ve Always Liked You, an anime film, on Crunchyroll starting 1 p.m. EDT Oct. 4. The film is based on Honeyworks’ music  “Confess Your Love Committee: Romance Series”. The story, according to Aniplex of America, “centers on high school students Natsuki Enomoto and her childhood friend Yu Setoguchi. Natsuki hopes to confess her love to Yu but is unable to admit to her true feelings, and ends up telling Yu that she is simply practicing how to confess her love to somebody else. While Natsuki hides her true feelings for Yu, she is asked by her classmate Koyuki Ayase for a date. The story features the sweet but sometimes bitter trials and tribulations surrounding young romance.”

Fukumekei Noise, a shoujo manga by Ryoko Fukuyama will receive an important announcement in the Oct. 5 issue of Hakusensha’s Hana to Yume magazine. According to ANN, “the manga tells a romance story with the themes of “music x one-sided love.” Nino, a girl who loves singing, made a childhood promise with her first crush Momo and song-composing Yuzu to someday find her voice. The three went their separate ways, but Nino kept her promise and continued to sing. Years later, the three are now high school students, and Nino is drawn into the world of band clubs.”
