New on Shoujo Shelves – December 2014

As I write it’s Black Friday and shopping is the big push today. There’s plenty coming out on shelves for fans to buy this month. What shoujo releases are available to stuff in a stocking?

FIVE new releases this month. I’ll be picking up Chika Shiomi’s Yukarism, Aya Shouoto’s He’s My Only Vampire, as well as the Vampire Knight releases – VK:Fleeting Dreams and VK:Life. Love at Fourteen is also on my review list. More Kaori Yuki comes out this month as well with Demon From Afar, so don’t miss it! Plenty of continuing series to catch up on as well. What are you most excited about?

Alice in the Country of Joker: Nightmare Trilogy vol. 2

April Season in the Country of Joker is a time of circuses, mysteries, and lies. In the Tower of Clover, Alice discovers a magical box that Nightmare wants to keep shut, containing a book he doesn’t want her to read. Yet Alice is not the only one interested in the magical box. Will she find herself caught in the middle of a Wonderland mafia war?

Love at Fourteen, vol. 1 New Series

The second year of junior high, when most students are in the throes of puberty and feeling the pangs of first love. It’s no different for Kanata Tanaka and Kazuki Yoshikawa, a boy and a girl who have been friends since elementary school.

But even though Kanata and Kazuki are at the same point in life as their classmates, an air of adulthood sets the two apart. Kanata is taller and more attractive than the other girls, but the boys stay away because she seems too mature for them.
